Service Description

Rescan's Social and Economic Sciences (SES) provides high quality and practical research, planning and products to meet the needs and requirements of our clients. Government, World Bank and IFC standard operating procedures are the starting point from where we develop programmes and studies specific to our client's needs. Drawing on our expertise of working on international and national projects, we provide a wealth of expertise in researching, devising and implementing social and economic strategies which can help to improve project design, plan for cost effectiveness and enhance community well-being.

Our Services

The services offered by the Rescan SES group have been developed to meet clients' needs across the project or development lifecycle:

  • Pre-project (e.g., baseline studies and social impact assessments)
  • Project lifetime (e.g., monitoring and evaluation)
  • Post-project (e.g., closure and decommissioning planning and monitoring)

All of our services are inherently linked to the Environmental Assessment and Management Planning Processes offered by Rescan to provide our clients an integrated and holistic approach. However, we can also offer any of the SES group activities as stand-alone services. These services are defined in the list on the right-hand side of this page (SES Service Links).
