Profile

The Monterde property is located in Chihuahua State, Mexico, approximately 230 km southwest of Chihuahua City. Kimber Resources Inc. is currently studying the low-sulphidation, epithermal, oxide gold-silver deposit with the intention of developing a mine.

Overview

Kimber required Rescan to develop and implement a baseline environmental and socio-economic monitoring program that integrates environmental and social activities that will ultimately be the basis of an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment.

Experience

Rescan was retained by Kimber to conduct an environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) at the proposed Monterde project. The assessment is focused on identifying all environmental and social issues of concern and potential impacts of the mine development. This project is ongoing.
